The Devonshire Arms welcomes guests with disabilities and has developed an Access Statement to address some of the questions disabled guests may ask.
Dining - the main bar is fully wheelchair accessible and there is a dedicated disabled wc facility. The brasserie has a step up and is therefore not recommended for wheelchair users. The same menu is served in both areas. The kitchen and restaurant staff are fully trained and knowledgeable about dietary requirements and the hazards of food allergies. Restaurant staff are also trained to assist guests wherever necessary, whatever the disability.
Staying - there are two ground floor bedrooms in a house adjacent to the original inn and there is level access from the road. However, these rooms are not fully disabled equipped and therefore we would advise they are only suitable for guests with partial disabilities.
Access to the pub from the ground floor bedrooms to the dining area is across a steep gravel path so disabled guests are advised to use the road rather than negotiate the garden.
It is company policy to welcome all guests regardless of disability or race.
