...And The Devonshire Arms is one of those picturesque country inns at the heart of village life. But with a difference! It offers the charm and character of an historic inn with a warm and comfortable interior full of oak beams and stone crannies. Make your way through to the brasserie and be amazed at the contrast of the startlingly different décor with panoramic windows overlooking the village, the contemporary bar, the glass fronted wine store and colourful furnishings. And for the ultimate escape, why not stay in one of our eight stylish cottage bedrooms.
Alan Hill, Chef Patron, joined The Devonshire Arms in 2006 and brought a whole new approach to the kitchens, revamping menus and ensuring the use of local produce from quality suppliers. Alan became Patron in 2007 and is supported by an enthusiastic and energetic front of house team who implement the warm welcome, attention to detail and high standards Alan demands.
Cask ales include the locally brewed Chatsworth Gold by Peak Ales, Theakston's Old Peculier, Black Sheep, and a local guest beer, Thornbridge Hall Jaipur, which frequenlty makes an appearance at Beeley.
